LANE Construction continues with work on GRTC Pulse. Currently, utility relocation activity is occurring along Broad Street, between Thompson and Laurel Streets. Permitted work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Please note: overnight lane closures may be permitted if unforeseen field conditions arise. If this occurs, additional notifications will be made as soon as possible.
Utility relocation activities continue; all should be complete in approximately two more weeks. 

All schedules are weather and progress-dependent.

WEEKLY RECAP: Monday, October 10 to Saturday, October 15
Utility Relocation: This is daytime work (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Where:
• South side of eastbound Broad Street, from Thompson St. to Laurel St.
• North side of westbound Broad Street, at DMV Drive (Mon., Oct. 10 only. NOTE:  This work on westbound Broad Street was the continuation of the night-time work that occurred last week. The work was completed on Mon., Oct. 10.)

•  Impacts:  Temporary closures of curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stop in work zones  

Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22
Utility Relocation:  This is daytime work (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Where:  South side of eastbound Broad Street, from Thompson St. to Laurel St.  
• Impacts:  Temporary closures of curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stop in work zones 

Utility Relocation: Night Crews will be working from 10:00p.m. - 6:00a.m., on eastbound Broad Street, from Ryland to Laurel

• Where:  Eastbound Broad Street from Ryland to Laurel
• Impacts: Two right lane closures on eastbound Broad Street
• When:
• Monday, Oct. 17
• Tuesday, Oct. 18

Monday, October 24 to Saturday, October 29
Utility Relocation:  This is daytime work (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

• Where:  South side of eastbound Broad Street, from Thompson St. to Laurel St.  
• Impacts:  Temporary closure of curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stop in work zones

Phase I Station Construction / Roadway Demolition: This is daytime work (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) permitted and estimated to begin on Mon., Oct. 24.

• Where:  North side of westbound Broad St., between Allison St. and Strawberry St.
• Impacts: Temporary closures of the westbound curb lane and adjacent sidewalk, as well as temporary loss of street parking, from Allison St. to Strawberry St. 

NOTE:  Once work in this location (between Allison St. and Strawberry St.) is complete, roadway demolition is expected to move to the median of Broad Street between Thompson Street and Laurel Street. Impacts will involve closures of the inside median lanes, in both the eastbound and westbound directions.
