Pardon Our Dust UPDATE

LANE Construction continues with utility relocation activity, which is occurring along Broad Street, between Thompson and Laurel Streets. 
Permitted work hours for utility relocation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday, with the exception of the nightly work described below. Schedules are progress- and weather-dependent. 
Please note: while no other nighttime work is currently planned, overnight lane closures may be permitted if unforeseen field conditions arise. If this occurs, additional notifications will be made as soon as possible.

WEEKLY RECAP: Monday, October 3 to Saturday, October 8
Utility Relocation:  Daytime crews working along the south side of Eastbound Broad Street. 
Where:  Meadow Street to Laurel Street
Impacts:  Temporary closures of curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stops in work zone
By Tues., Oct. 4, test pitting and directional drilling activity required by utility relocation was complete. Other utility activities continued. 
Due to inclement weather forecast on Saturday, LANE has cancelled work for Sat., Oct. 8. 
Nightly work (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) also is occurring this week, laterally across eastbound and westbound directions of Broad St., at DMV Drive. 
Where:  Broad Street at DMV Drive (between N. Davis Ave. and Strawberry St.)
Impacts:  Alternating, temporary single or double lane closures. One travel lane will remain open in each direction. Motorists should expect nightly lane closures between approximately N. Davis Ave. and Strawberry St.
When:  
o Tues., October 4:  eastbound Broad Street 
o Wed., October 5:  eastbound and westbound Broad Street 
o Thurs., October 6:  westbound Broad Street

TWO-WEEK LOOK-AHEAD
Monday, October 10 to Saturday, October 15
Crews will complete the work occurring at DMV Drive (referenced above) on Mon., Oct. 10, during the daytime (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.). 
Where:  Broad Street at DMV Drive (between N. Davis Ave. and Strawberry St.)
Impacts:  A single lane closure on the westbound side. Two travel lanes will remain open. 

Utility Relocation:  Daytime crews expected to work along the south side of eastbound Broad St. 
Where:  Thompson Street to Laurel Street
Impacts:  Temporary closures of curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stops in work zone

Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22
Utility Relocation:  Daytime crews expected to work along the south side of eastbound Broad St. 
Where:  Thompson Street to Laurel Street
Impacts:  Temporary closures of the curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and bus stops in work zones 
Phase I Station Construction / Roadway Demolition: This is daytime work (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) permitted to begin as early as Tues., Oct. 4, and it is estimated to now begin on Mon., Oct. 17. 
Where:  Westbound Broad St., between Allison and Strawberry St.
Impacts: Temporary closures of the westbound curb lane and adjacent sidewalk, as well as temporary loss of street parking, from Allison to Strawberry St. 

NOTE:  Once work in this location is complete, roadway demolition is expected to move to the median of Broad Street between Thompson Street and Laurel Street. Impacts will involve closures of the inside median lanes, in both the eastbound and westbound directions.
