This week on Broad Street, station construction is continuing at Willow Lawn; Staples Mill East and West; Cleveland East and West; Science Museum East and West; Allison East; VCU & VUU East and West; and Government Center East stations. Waterline relocation is occurring at Arts District East. On E. Main Street, station construction continued at Orleans; East Riverfront East and West; and Shockoe Bottom East. Roadway work occurred in the Broad St. median from I-195 overpass to Belvidere Street, with asphalt being laid down. Traffic signal work is occurring on Broad St. and E. Main Street.
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) has been established where work is occurring; see last page of this look-ahead for messaging on the MOT, to be shared with stakeholders.
Most of construction activity is occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime and nighttime hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.
