Pardon Our Dust UPDATE

This week along Broad Street, construction activity continued at Allison East, Cleveland East and Science Museum West and East stations. Crews also are working on a water line relocation at Staples Mill East. Traffic signal work continued from Foushee Street eastward. At Rocketts Landing, crews continued with construction at the Orleans station. On Main Street, crews are preparing to begin construction activity at the Shockoe Bottom East station.

Station construction, demolition and water line relocation are occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime and nighttime hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday. Details are below. All schedules are weather and progress-dependent.

Depending on proximity to the work zone, those in the area could hear portions of the construction work. All work is being done within permitting guidelines, including allowed noise levels.

Pardon Our Dust UPDATE

Lane Construction continues work on GRTC Pulse, a new bus rapid transit system serving the Richmond Region, from Rocketts Landing to Willow Lawn. Work is occurring on Broad Street, with permanent closures of the median and inside lanes, from Hamilton Street to 1st Street. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) has been established; see last page of this look-ahead for messaging on the MOT, to be shared with stakeholders.

This week along Broad Street, demolition of the median continued between Hamilton Street and 1st Street. Demolition to begin construction occurred at the Science Museum East station. Construction continued at Allison East, and crews are preparing to begin water line relocation at Staples Mill East.
Traffic signal work continued from Belvidere Street eastward. At Rocketts Landing, crews continued with construction at the Orleans station.

Within the median MOT, concrete barriers were set this week in preparation for station construction at Cleveland East and Science Museum East stations.

Pardon Our Dust UPDATE

This week along Broad Street, demolition of the median continued between Hamilton Street and 1st Street. Traffic signal work continued from Laurel Street eastward to Foushee Street. Median station construction continued at Allison East, and water line relocation continued at the Allison West station. At Rocketts Landing, crews began demolition of the sidewalk in preparation for construction at the Orleans station.

All schedules are weather and progress-dependent.

Station construction and water line relocation are occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime and nighttime hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.

Depending on proximity to the work zone, those in the area could hear portions of the construction work. All work is being done within permitting guidelines, including allowed noise levels.
