This week, crews began demolition at Allison East, a median station on Broad Street. Traffic signal work continued at intersections along Broad St., from Thompson St. eastward.
Most of the station construction is occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday) and nighttime hours (6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday).
Traffic will be guided by weighted orange barrels, signage, protective fencing and concrete barriers. They are there for the general safety and well-being of the traveling public, as well as Lane’s workers. Motorists are advised to slow down, obey all traffic signs and watch out for workers and pedestrians when traveling through work zones. Please remember: Orange Cones = NO Phones.
