Work is continuing at Willow Lawn; Staples Mill East and West; Scott’s Addition East and West; Science Museum East and West; Allison East and West; VCU & VUU East and West; Arts District East and West; Convention Center East and West; Government Center East and West; VCU Medical Center East and West; Main St. Station East and West; Shockoe Bottom East and West; East Riverfront East and West; and Rocketts Landing. With much of the station construction complete, Lane continues to make final finishes at the stations: downspouts, cedar ceiling installation, totem signage, lighting, station glass and more. Meanwhile, roadway work and the integration of electrical components and communications are occurring. Permitted daytime hours are 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.
On Thurs., April 19 and Fri., April 20, Lane Construction removed orange barrels along the project route, used for MOT and for station construction. Removal enables GRTC to begin Operational Testing on the GRTC Pulse system beginning Mon., April 23. Motorists traveling the project route should be advised that changes in some traffic turn signals and permanent parking configurations are taking effect from now and into the following weeks. Please drive carefully, stay out of GRTC Pulse bus-only lanes and adhere to all posted signs, including new parking configurations.
