This week on Broad Street, station construction is continuing at Willow Lawn; Staples Mill East and West; Cleveland East and West; Science Museum East and West; Allison East; VCU & VUU East and West; Convention Center East; and Government Center East and West stations. Waterline relocation is beginning at Arts District West. On E. Main Street, station construction is beginning at Main Street Station East and West, while also continuing at Orleans; East Riverfront East and West; and Shockoe Bottom East. Roadway work continued in the Broad St. median from Thompson Street to Belvidere Street, with milling and construction of the median curb. Traffic signal work is occurring on Broad St. and E. Main Street.
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) has been established where work is occurring; see last page of this look-ahead for messaging on the MOT, to be shared with stakeholders.
Most of construction activity is occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime and nighttime hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.
