This week on Broad Street, station construction is continuing at Willow Lawn; Staples Mill East and West; Cleveland East and West; Science Museum East and West; Allison East; VCU & VUU East and West; and Government Center East and West stations. Work is beginning this week at Convention Center East. Waterline relocation is finishing up this week at Arts District East. On E. Main Street, station construction continued at Orleans; East Riverfront East and West; and Shockoe Bottom East. Roadway work continued in the Broad St. median from Thompson Street to Belvidere Street, with asphalt being laid down. Crews also are striping for new MOT at Arts District West, Convention Center East and VCU Hospital East. Traffic signal work is occurring on Broad St. and E. Main Street.
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) has been established where work is occurring; see last page of this look-ahead for messaging on the MOT, to be shared with stakeholders.
Most of construction activity is occurring during permitted daytime hours, 7.a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic signal work is occurring during both permitted daytime and nighttime hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.
