Multiple work crews are working in multiple locations along the corridor. Temporary closures of the curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and bus stops located in work zones will continue through mid-October.
Work hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedules are progress- and weather-dependent.
TWO-WEEK LOOK-AHEAD:
For the week of Monday, October 3 to Saturday, October 8:
Utility relocation work will continue on the south side of Broad Street with multiple crews working in multiple locations. This includes daytime work zones (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in the following locations:
- Eastward from Lombardy Street to Harrison Street
- Eastward from Meadow Street to Laurel Street
- Eastward from Thompson Street
Utility work will also require nightly work zones (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) from Tuesday, October 4 to Friday, October 7. These will occur laterally across eastbound and westbound directions of Broad Street at DMV Drive (between N. Davis Ave. and Strawberry St.). Alternating, temporary single or double lane closures will occur. One travel lane will remain open in each direction. Motorists should expect lane closures between approximately N. Davis Ave. and Strawberry St.
For the week of Monday, October 10 to Saturday, October 15:
Utility relocation work will continue on the south side of Broad Street, moving eastward from Thompson St. to Laurel St.
Crews are expected to begin Phase I of Station Construction.
- WHERE: This is expected to occur on westbound Broad St, between Allison and Strawberry St, along the curb lane and sidewalk.
- WHAT: Sidewalk work
- IMPACTS: Temporary closures of the westbound curb lane and adjacent sidewalk, as well as temporary loss of street parking, from Allison St to Strawberry St.
Once work in this location is complete, crews are expected to continue this work in the median of Broad Street, from Thompson Street to Laurel Street. Impacts include some sectional closures of the inside median lanes, in both the eastbound and westbound directions, where work is occurring.
It is important to note that field conditions can change rapidly and LANE's goal is to work safely and swiftly to minimize impacts to the areas where they work. The schedule is progress- and weather-dependent, and can change in the field as conditions evolve.
LANE is committed to ensuring that all businesses have access to entry points and deliveries throughout utility relocation and construction.
