Construction is underway! Utility Relocation has started, requiring us to work near locations along eastbound Broad Street.
LOCATION:
Construction is progressing along the south side of eastbound Broad Street, between Thompson Street and Laurel Street. Please be aware of temporary closures to the curb lane, sidewalk and bus stops in the work zone areas.
Our schedules are weather and progress-dependent. We anticipate that this work will move quickly through individual locations. We estimate Utility Relocation will be complete by mid-October.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
IMPACTS:
• A temporary closure of the curb lane, adjacent sidewalk and any bus stop located in the Work Zones.
• The temporary lane closure may require loss of street parking, but remember – we are moving quickly.
• We’re committed to minimizing impacts, where possible. This work will result in minimal dust and noise.
• Access to front doors, if located along the sidewalk, will be maintained at all times.
SAFETY:
• As we work on a block, you may see protective fencing installed to clearly mark the Work Zones.
• Let’s look out for each other - please watch for signs and work crews!
