Pardon Our Dust: August Utility Relocation

Construction is expected to begin Tuesday, August 16.  We start with Utility Relocation, requiring us to work near business locations on Broad Street in the coming weeks. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
WHERE:  Work will occur on the sidewalk, south side of Broad St. starting at Thompson St., moving eastward.
Estimated Timing / Locations:
Week of August 15: South side of Broad St., from Thompson to Cleveland St.
Week of August 22: South side of Broad St., from Cleveland St. to N. Boulevard
Week of August 29:  South side of Broad St., from N. Boulevard to N. Davis St.
NOTE:  Our schedules are weather and progress-dependent.
This work will move at roughly one block per day. We estimate that Utility Relocation will be complete by mid-October.
IMPACTS: 
• A temporary closure of the curb lane and adjacent sidewalk.
• The temporary lane closure will require loss of street parking, but remember – we are moving quickly, roughly one block per day.
• We’re committed to minimizing impacts, where possible. This work will result in minimal dust and noise.
• Access to your front doors, if they are located along the sidewalk, will be maintained at all times.
SAFETY:  
• As we work on your block, you may see protective fencing installed near your business to clearly mark the work zones.
• Let’s look out for each other - please remind your staff and patrons to watch for signs and work crews!
